NEGGA LIZZYBIOGRAPHYNegga Lizzy began her artistic journey driven by a strong need to express herself and convey values that, in her view, are essential to the path she envisioned. An actress and singer, she first gained public recognition in Cape Verde, her home country, in 2013 through her participation in "Casa do Líder," the first reality show on Cape Verdean television. Later, in Portugal, she joined the cast of the series "Maison Afrochique," broadcast in Angola and Mozambique. More recently, she made her debut on Portuguese national television with a role in the RTP series "Cuba Libre."
Deeply connected to her homeland, Negga Lizzy infuses her music with a unique soul and energy, blending diverse influences from her roots and personal and professional experiences. Her sound is shaped by the African rhythms of Cape Verde, the urban beats of Hip-Hop and Rap, and elements of Pop. Negga Lizzy is a strong woman who uses her music to advocate for values and causes she deems essential in today’s society. She stands for gender equality, LGBTQIA+ rights, freedom of expression, the fight against hunger, the battle against child exploitation, the preservation of wildlife and nature, and respect for diverse cultures and peoples. Her music is a fusion of sounds and styles, creating an original and addictive combination. Following the release of her singles “Toc Toc,” “Diz-me o Que Queres,” and “Metamorfose,” Negga Lizzy unveiled her album “Conexão.” This project is a journey through her life, with each track representing a personal experience, all interconnected as a tribute to her origins, her country, and Africa. |
